A second person is helpful when installing blinds Allusion Blinds
Take note of the window locations as stated on the sticker label
Be very careful not to cut fabric with a sharp object when removing packaging

Step 1: Outside Fit
Measure and position the height and width of headrail
Determine where to install your headrail. Identify the location where you originally measured for the Allusion to go (e.g., centred or one-way).
Lay the headrail on the floor in front of the door or window in the position you intend to install it. Ensure there are no obstructions in the way before drilling any holes. Move any furniture or items that might interfere.
Clear a clean space to open the part of the parcle containing the fabric lourves. Be cautious not to use any sharp objects near the fabric. Maintain the fabric stack as its been packed, and lay it out neatly set aside stacked on top of itself. You will use these in Step 4.
Step 2: Outside Fit
Mark bracket placement then screw into place
Measure your ordered height out on the wall, this is the height you will fit the headrail. By design the Allusion fabric it is approx. 10mm less than the height you ordered. Use a stud finder to locate some solid fixing points on the wall at that height. You will need one bracket at the far left, one at the far right (approx 50mm in from the very ends). For extra support, space out the remaining brackets evenly. Make pencil marks where you’ll drill for each brackets, ensuring proper alignment.
Use two screws per bracket, screwing into place while ensuring each bracket is level.
Step 3: Outside Fit
Attach the Headrail to brackets
Pick up the Allusion headrail and attach it to the brackets by locating the groove on the back of the headrail and fit it into the middle lip of each bracket. Then push the headrail upwards until it is sitting level on each of the brackets before tightening securing screws from the front of blind. To avoid damaging the headrail do not overtighten these screws.
Step 4: Outside Fit
Installing the fabric louvres
Turn the hooks on the carriers of the headrail so that the slots are at 90 degrees to the track. Attach a male clip to the first female clip with fabric and hang this onto the end of the carrier. Fit the other half of the louvre onto the next carrier.
Take the next louvre and snap fix the male clip to the female clip on the track. Repeat until you get to the last carrier/lourvre. Fix a female clip onto the last louvre and fasten to the track.
A step ladder and a second person is handy at this step, to avoid multiple ups and downs while hanging the fabric.
Step 5: Outside Fit
Wand or Chain and Cord Control
If you have ordered a wand, each wand should be hooked to the ends of the louvre track once final louvre has been hung.
If you have ordered a chain and cord control, test its function out.
To open and close the blinds grip the wand and slide the louvres across the headrail. To darken the blind twist the wand 90 degrees to rotate the louvres. Rotate the wand in the opposite direction to change opacity to sheer.
Important: Only open blinds when in sheer opacity.
