Before You Order

Can I order free samples?

Absolutely. We recommend ordering samples before choosing your fabric, as colours and textures can look different on screen.

You can order 10–15 free samples online.

How do I choose the right blind?

Consider what you want the blind to achieve. Privacy, light control, insulation, UV protection or simply the right look for your room.

If you're unsure, contact us and we'll be happy to help.

Are Budget Blinds made in New Zealand?

Yes. We manufacture our blinds locally in Feilding, New Zealand.

Measuring

How do I measure my windows?

Measure the actual window rather than relying on house plans or window schedules.

We recommend using a good quality metal tape measure and recording your measurements carefully.

If you're unsure, check our Measuring Guides or contact us before ordering.

Do I need to make deductions?

No. Enter the measurements of the area where you want the blind to fit. We take the required manufacturing deductions into account.

What if my window is unusually large or complicated?

If you're unsure how to measure a bay window, large window, door or linked blinds, send us a photo and contact us. We'll help you work out the best way to measure it.

Ordering

How do I order my blinds?

Choose your blind and fabric, enter your measurements and select the options you need. Our website will guide you through the process.

If you're unsure about anything, please contact us before placing your order.

Can I change my order after I've placed it?

Orders are processed quickly and may not be able to be changed once they have entered production.

Manufacturing & Delivery

How long will my blinds take to be made?

Most orders are manufactured within 14 working days.

Roman Blinds, S-Fold Curtains and Allusion® Blinds can take up to 20 working days.

Manufacturing time does not include delivery time.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery generally takes a few days after your order has been manufactured and dispatched. Rural and South Island deliveries may take a little longer.

We'll send you tracking information once your order has been dispatched.

Motorized Blinds

Can I get my blinds motorized?

Yes. We offer motorized options for selected blinds, including Roller Blinds.

We have rechargeable battery motors as well as 240V hardwired options.

Can I control my motorized blinds from an app?

Yes. Compatible motorized Roller Blinds can be controlled through an app when purchased with the appropriate Home Bud Hub Gateway.

Warranty & Support

What warranty do you provide?

Our blinds come with a 5-year warranty covering parts and manufacturing.

Fabrics are covered by the applicable fabric supplier's warranty.

What if something goes wrong with my blind?

Contact us and let us know what's happened. We can help with troubleshooting, replacement parts and repairs for blinds manufactured by us.
