Your motor will have its first full charge here at the factory but you will need to have one on hand ready for the motors next charge. A single full charge can last 3-5 months depending on use. The motor on a Roller is mounted internally inside the Roller tube. The blinds remain installed during the charging process, there is a small port on the drive end of the blind. You will be able to easily recharge the blind by accessing the charging port with a 2.5mm jack so long as there is a power source nearby. You MUST use a genuine Louvolite charger, anything off brand will void the suppliers warranty. Wait for the charging light to change from red to green to signify a full charge.
